Waylume Extension Overview

The Waylume Chrome extension provides guided navigation on top of a live website.

It is the user-facing service surface for teams that want to help users complete tasks step by step without embedding the full experience directly into their own application UI.

You can install it from the Waylume Chrome Web Store listing.

What the Extension Does

The extension can:

  • Open a guidance interface from the browser

  • Show step-by-step instructions for a target workflow

  • Highlight or target the relevant element on the current page

  • Continue guidance across page transitions

  • Work alongside SDK-enabled sites when the target product exposes Waylume flows

Typical User Experience

  1. The user opens the Waylume extension.

  2. The user starts a guide or flow.

  3. Waylume identifies the next relevant step on the page.

  4. The user follows the instruction and moves to the next step.

  5. The guide continues until the workflow is complete.

Good Fit

The extension is a good fit when:

  • You want guided navigation without building a custom in-app launcher first

  • Users need help directly on the live website

  • The workflow spans several pages or screen states

  • You want to support product walkthroughs and operational tasks in the browser

Relationship to the SDK

The extension is the end-user guidance surface.

The SDK is the integration layer for product teams that want to define flows, add stable targets, and place the guide inside their own product.
